Olive ‘Koroneiki’ bears large crops of small olives that produce high-yielding oil. It is well-suited for use in hedging and screening, and is particularly suitable for coastal areas. It is also self-fertile, meaning it is capable of producing fruit on its own. The fruit ripens in autumn, transitioning from green to red before ultimately becoming a purple-black color. It features white flowers during the summer and has grey-green leaves. Olive is evergreen and native from the Mediterranean through Africa to China. Olive ‘Koroneiki’ originated around the city of Kalamata in Greece.
