Fig ‘Brown Turkey’ is well-suited for coastal and drought-prone regions, and can be trained into any desired shape. It produces large crops of pear-shaped, green figs with a brown tinge, and the flesh ranges from white to amber, sometimes with a red tinge. These figs are great for all purposes and Fig ‘Brown Turkey’ is a reliable cropper. The fruit ripen in early autumn and Fig ‘Brown Turkey’ is self-fertile, although it will produce even more fruit when planted with another fig cultivar. Fig is deciduous and native to the Mediterranean and western Asia.
