Melia azedarach produces green, pinnate leaves that appear alongside the sweetly-scented, caramel-colored panicles of lilac-pink flowers in late spring. During the fall, the leaves of Melia azedarach turn a clear yellow color. It can withstand strong winds and drought conditions.
