Betula utilis subsp. jacquemontii ‘Silver Shadow’ has a conical crown and features clear white bark on both its trunk and branches. Its oval leaves are dark green and drooping, but turn yellow during the autumn season. The male catkins of Betula utilis subsp. jacquemontii ‘Silver Shadow’ are noticeable in early spring. Betula utilis is deciduous and native to the Western Himalayas.
