Olive ‘Mission’
Olive
Olive ‘Mission’ is a vigorous and upright grower that produces olives suitable for both oil and table eating. It is frost tolerant and self-fertile, meaning it can produce fruit on its own. The fruit ripens in autumn, transitioning from green to red before ultimately becoming a purple-black color. It features white flowers during the summer and has grey-green leaves. Olive is evergreen and native from the Mediterranean through Africa to China. Olive ‘Mission’ was developed in the late 18th century by Spanish missions in California, United States.
