Erect, pyramidal tree. Young leaves are a bronze colour. Has larger leaves than our native kauri, Agathis australis. Protect from frosts and wind when young. Also needs moist soil during dry periods while establishing. Will tolerate light frosts and heavy clay soils when established. Prefers moist, well-drained soils.
