Magnolia ‘Charisma’ produces large, cup and saucer-shaped flowers in the spring with a red-pink to purple coloration. The flowers are typically 20cm to 30cm wide, making for an impressive display. Magnolia ‘Charisma’ has an upright to spreading growth habit. Magnolia ‘Charisma’ is deciduous, not native to New Zealand, and a hybrid between Magnolia ‘J. C. Williams’ and Magnolia ‘Vulcan’. Magnolia ‘Charisma’ was selected before 2018 by Ian Baldick in Drury, New Zealand.
