During autumn, the green leaves turn a vibrant combination of yellow, orange, and red. x Sycoparrotia semidecidua can also be pleached, making it suitable for use as a colorful hedge. x Sycoparrotia semidecidua is deciduous, not native to New Zealand, and a hybrid between Parrotia persica and Sycopsis sinensis.
