Description

Forms a rounded-head with graceful, pendulous branches, a slender trunk, and peeling bark. Small, dark-green leaves turn orange and yellow in autumn. Tolerant of moderate coastal winds and drought. Excellent street tree. Resists Dutch elm disease. Ulmus parvifolia (Chinese Elm) grows to 6m (H) x 5m (W) in 10 years.
