Taxodium distichum

Taxodium distichum has a pyramidal shape and features soft-green, feathery leaves during the spring season. The leaves turn russet and gold in the autumn and are known to persist well into the winter months. Taxodium distichum can grow in up to 0.6 meters of water but can thrive in all marshy ground as well as ordinary garden soil. Taxodium distichum is deciduous and native to eastern and southeastern United States, Mexico, and Guatemala.
