Quercus suber

Quercus suber is characterized by its thick, fissured, corky bark. Its small, oval, toothed leaves are dark-green with grey undersides. Quercus suber is coastal and drought hardy, making it suitable for various growing conditions. It can be clipped into a tough hedge or screen, and is also ideal for training into topiary forms. Additionally, it is an excellent choice for a street tree. Quercus suber is evergreen and native to Algeria, France, Italy, Morocco, Portugal, Spain, and Tunisia.
