Prunus x yedoensis
Yoshino Cherry
Prunus x yedoensis has a graceful, upright growth habit with arching branches that add a soft and delicate look to the landscape. In early-spring, it becomes smothered with almond-scented, blush-white, single blossoms, making it spectacular when in full flower. In the autumn months, the foliage turns shades of orange and red, adding a bright splash of color to the landscape. It is an excellent choice as a street tree due to its upright growth habit and stunning display of flowers. Prunus x yedoensis is a hybrid between Prunus speciosa and Prunus itosakura (syn. Prunus subhirtella). Deciduous and native to Japan. Learn more.
