Prunus x incam ‘Okamé’ has a compact, rounded-head and produces masses of bright, pink, bell-shaped, single blossoms that hang in pendant clusters. It flowers from late-winter to early-spring and is great for the smaller garden, making an excellent street tree. In the autumn, the leaves of Prunus x incam ‘Okamé’ turn yellow, orange, and red, and it is a superb tree for attracting birds and bees, as its flowers are full of nectar. Prunus x incam ‘Okamé’ is not sterile. Prunus x incam is deciduous, not native to New Zealand, and a hybrid between Prunus incisa and Prunus campanulata. Learn more about Prunus x incam.
