Prunus serrulata ‘Shimidsu-sakura’ is one of the loveliest flowering cherries and grows into a broad-spreading tree with gracefully-arching branches. It produces double flowers in mid to late-spring, starting as pink buds that open into pale-pink blooms that eventually fade to white. The flowers are borne in pendulous clusters, adding a soft and delicate look. In the autumn, the leaves turn shades of orange and red, adding a bright splash of color to the landscape.
