The fruit ripens from mid-summer into autumn, and Prunus salicina ‘Santa Rosa’ produces white flowers during the spring season. While Prunus salicina ‘Santa Rosa’ is partially self-fertile, planting it with Prunus salicina ‘Black Doris’ can result in better yields.
