Prunus avium ‘Rainier’ is one of the best when it comes to producing yellow cherries, with abundant crops of deliciously sweet fruit. In spring, clusters of sweetly-scented white flowers appear on the branches. Large, golden-yellow cherries with a red blush are produced in early summer, with firm, cream-white flesh that is exceptionally sweet and juicy. The fruit is great for eating fresh, canning, and preserves. The leaves of Prunus avium ‘Rainier’ turn into beautiful shades of orange and red in the autumn.
