Description

Very similar looking to Miro, except during the juvenile stage when the Matai bears a tangle of silver and orange-coloured branches. Mature trees bear black fruit. Will grow out in the open and tolerates drier soils than Miro. Evergreen tree that grows at a slow rate to reach 6m in 10 years.
