The plums have purple-red skin and red flesh, and Plum ‘Satsuma’ produces white flowers during the spring season. The fruit typically ripens around late-summer and while Plum ‘Satsuma’ is partially self-fertile, planting it with Plum ‘Santa Rosa’ or Plum ‘Shiro’ can result in better yields.
