Japanese Plum
The fruit is medium to large, round, and crimson-red, with yellow flesh that is flushed with pink. It has a sweet and juicy taste with excellent flavors, making it an all-purpose plum that can be eaten fresh, used in jams, or made into sauces. The fruit ripens from mid-summer into autumn, and Plum ‘Santa Rosa’ produces white flowers during the spring season. While Plum ‘Santa Rosa’ is partially self-fertile, planting it with Plum ‘Black Doris’ can result in better yields. Additionally, the leaves of Plum ‘Santa Rosa’ turn yellow in the autumn months.
