Plum ‘Black Doris’ produces medium to large fruit with dark black-purple skin and firm, dark-red flesh. The fruit ripens from late-summer to early-autumn, and Plum ‘Black Doris’ is a vigorous, upright tree with heavy crops of fruit. This plum is an excellent all-purpose fruit, suitable for eating, jams, sauces, and bottling. The white flowers of Plum ‘Black Doris’ appear in the spring, and its leaves turn yellow in the autumn. Pollinators for Plum ‘Black Doris’ include Plum ‘Billington’ and Plum ‘Santa Rosa’. Plum is deciduous and native to Russia, China, Taiwan, and Vietnam. Learn more about Plum.
