Plum ‘Black Doris’ produces medium to large fruit with dark black-purple skin and firm, dark-red flesh. The fruit ripens from late-summer to early-autumn, and Plum ‘Black Doris’ is a vigorous, upright tree with heavy crops of fruit. This plum is an excellent all-purpose fruit, suitable for eating, jams, sauces, and bottling. The white flowers of Plum ‘Black Doris’ appear in the spring, and its leaves turn yellow in the autumn.
