This selected form of Platanus orientalis was developed for planting in the Manawatu, and is now the feature tree in Fitzberbert Ave, Palmerston North. It was bred to withstand exposed windy conditions and the heavy clay soils. It develops into a compact upright pyramidal grower with deeply cut green fingered leaves. Every tree grows the same size and at the same rate, so is a perfect avenue tree. Another bonus of this clone is its ability to withstand disease. Deciduous tree that grows at a fast rate to reach 7m (H) x 7m (W) in 10 years.
