Persea americana ‘Bacon’ produces medium-sized fruit with smooth, thin, green skin and yellow-green flesh that is smooth and silky with a light flavor. The skin of the fruit remains green but may darken slightly when it ripens. It is typically harvested from late autumn to early spring. While it is self-fertile, it produces better crops when planted alongside Persea americana ‘Hass’. Persea americana ‘Bacon’ forms a thick canopy with a spreading habit.
