Peach ‘Golden Queen’ is a true favorite for bottling and an excellent eater. It produces fruit with firm, yellow-orange flesh and deep yellow-orange skin. The fruit is slightly flat and clingstone and ripens in late-summer. The pink blossoms of Peach ‘Golden Queen’ appear from late-winter to late-spring, and its leaves turn yellow in the autumn. Peach ‘Golden Queen’ is self-fertile. Peach is deciduous and native to China. Peach ‘Golden Queen’ originated in 1908 in the garden of Edwin Reeves in Greerton, Tauranga, New Zealand and was introduced into commerce by David Hay of Montpellier Nursery in Auckland, New Zealand.
