Olive ‘Verdale’ is well-suited for pickling when the fruit is still in its green stage. It is a compact grower and is suitable for use in hedging and screens, featuring slightly-weeping branches. Additionally, it is self-fertile and can produce fruit on its own. The fruit ripens in autumn, transitioning from green to red before ultimately becoming a purple-black color.
