Olive ‘J5’

Olive ‘J5’ is frost tolerant and produces a heavy yield of olives on a large tree. It is well-suited for use in hedges, screens, or as a lining for avenues and driveways. Additionally, it is self-fertile, making it capable of producing fruit on its own. The fruit ripens in autumn, transitioning from green to red before ultimately becoming a purple-black color. It features white flowers during the summer and has grey-green leaves. Olive is evergreen and native from the Mediterranean through Africa to China. Olive ‘J5’ was developed in New Zealand.
