Olive ‘Frantoio’ is known for its olives with exceptionally high-quality and quantity-yielding oil. They also pickle well when green. The fruit ripens in autumn, transitioning from green to red before ultimately becoming a purple-black color. It features white flowers during the summer and has grey-green leaves. Olive is evergreen and native from the Mediterranean through Africa to China. Olive ‘Frantoio’ originated in the region of Tuscany in Italy.
