Dual-purpose selection from Italy with large fruit that have small pits. Excellent for table fruit as olives are quite large. Excellent for hedges, screens, lining avenues, and driveways. Frost tolerant. Partially self-fertile, but best crops when planted with Olea europaea 'Frantoio' or Olea europaea 'Leccino'. Fruit ripen in autumn and change from a green through red to a purple-black. White flowers in summer, and has grey-green leaves.
