Nestegis montana is an attractive tree with smooth, narrow, dark-green leaves that are similar to those of a willow. It has an upright growth habit with a rounded crown and produces red berries in mid-summer that are adored by birds. Nestegis montana prefers more sheltered growing conditions. Nestegis montana is evergreen and native to New Zealand.
