The flowers of Michelia ‘Snow Dove’ are a pure, ice-white color and emit a delightful sweet and spicy scent. They bloom abundantly during the spring season. Michelia ‘Snow Dove’ is correctly known as Magnolia ‘Snow Dove’, but the incorrect name has been retained for consistency with the New Zealand market. Magnolia ‘Snow Dove’ is evergreen, not native to New Zealand, and a hybrid between Magnolia maudiae and Magnolia doltsopa. Magnolia ‘Snow Dove’ was discovered as a rootstock seedling at the Auckland Botanic Gardens in Auckland, New Zealand.
