Michelia ‘Gracipes’ has leaves that are rounded in shape. It is a tidy, pyramid-shaped cultivar with deep-green foliage. From early spring, it produces an abundance of pure-white flowers over an extended period. It is suitable for use as a hedging plant, can be pruned into any desired shape, or can be grown as a distinctive tree. Michelia ‘Gracipes’ is correctly known as Magnolia laevifolia ‘Gracipes’, but the incorrect name has been retained for consistency with the New Zealand market.
