Malus ‘Kaitoke’

This Malus has attractive purple-red new leaves during the spring season, which turn purple-green by summer. Malus ‘Kaitoke’ produces masses of crimson flower buds that open to carmine-red blossoms in spring. It is well-suited for smaller gardens and produces purple-red crabapples in the summer, with semi-weeping branches, which add to its visual appeal. ‘Kaitoke’ is deciduous, not native to New Zealand, and was developed in New Zealand.
