Malus ‘Flamingo’

Malus ‘Flamingo’ is hardy and has a columnar habit. It features double red buds that open up to deep-pink flowers in spring. The new foliage of Malus ‘Flamingo’ is a deep burgundy-red to plum-purple, changing to purple-green during the summer. In the autumn, Malus ‘Flamingo’ produces deep-red to purple crabapples. Malus ‘Flamingo’ is deciduous, not native to New Zealand, and was developed by John McLaren in Cromwell, New Zealand (PVR 33152).
