Magnolia ‘Yellow Fever’
Magnolia
Magnolia ‘Yellow Fever’ produces cup-shaped, fragrant flowers that appear just before the leaves in mid-spring. The flowers are initially yellow with a light-pink flush at the base before fading to cream as they open. Magnolia ‘Yellow Fever’ is an upright, conical grower and begins to flower from an early age, making it an excellent choice for a street tree. Magnolia ‘Yellow Fever’ is deciduous, not native to New Zealand, and a hybrid between Magnolia acuminata and Magnolia denudata. Magnolia ‘Yellow Fever’ was selected before 1984 by Ken Durio in Louisiana, United States.
