Michelia x foggii ‘Mixed Up Miss’ forms a pyramidal shape and has shining, pale-green leaves. Its velvet buds open to deliciously fragrant, cream-white, rounded flowers with purple edges in the spring. Michelia x foggii ‘Mixed Up Miss’ drops its leaves as the flowers emerge, but quickly refoliates once flowering has finished. Michelia x foggii ‘Mixed Up Miss’ is correctly known as Magnolia x foggii ‘Mixed Up Miss’, but the incorrect name has been retained for consistency with the New Zealand market. Magnolia x foggii is evergreen, not native to New Zealand, and a hybrid between Magnolia figo and Magnolia doltsopa.
