Michelia x foggii ‘Bubbles’ forms a wide-spreading, pyramidal shape and has glossy, deep-green leaves. Its velvet buds open to slightly fragrant, cream-white, rounded flowers with pink edges in the spring. Michelia x foggii ‘Bubbles’ is correctly known as Magnolia x foggii ‘Bubbles’, but the incorrect name has been retained for consistency with the New Zealand market. Magnolia x foggii is evergreen, not native to New Zealand, and a hybrid between Magnolia figo and Magnolia doltsopa. Magnolia x foggii was first crossed in 1972 by John Fogg at the Morris Arboretum in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. Learn more about Magnolia x foggii.
