Description
Forms a compact, densely-branched, small, spreading bush. The smallest of the star magnolias. Deep-pink buds open to frilly flowers of white with pink undersides. Has darker-pink flowers than Magnolia stellata ‘Dawn’. Very pretty and desirable. Early-spring flowering. Flowers from an early age. Magnolia stellata ‘Jane Platt’ (Star Magnolia) grows to 1.5m (H) x 1.5m (W) in 10 years.
