Magnolia ‘Heaven Scent’
Magnolia
This Magnolia produces erect, pastel lavender-pink, tulip-shaped blooms with white interiors that are paler towards the tips. Its unique color among magnolias and its pleasantly fragrant flowers make it a desirable option. Magnolia ‘Heaven Scent’ has an upright, rounded growth habit, flowers in mid-spring from an early age, and is an excellent street tree. Magnolia ‘Heaven Scent’ is deciduous, not native to New Zealand, and a hybrid between Magnolia liliiflora ‘Nigra’ and Magnolia x veitchii ‘Peter Veitch’. ‘Heaven Scent’ was produced by Todd Gresham sometime from 1955 to 1969 at his home in Santa Cruz, California, United States.
