Its pure white, thickly-textured flowers are strongly scented of citrus and are produced from spring through autumn. Magnolia grandiflora ‘Ferruginea’ has an elegant round-headed growth habit and makes a great specimen shade tree. It is also tolerant of poorly drained positions.
