Magnolia ‘David Clulow’
Magnolia
This delightful tree produces large, cup and saucer-shaped flowers that are pure-white with a hint of pink at the base. Magnolia ‘David Clulow’ begins to flower at an early age and is well-suited to smaller gardens, with a spreading growth habit. Its flowers bloom in early spring. Magnolia ‘David Clulow’ is deciduous, not native to New Zealand, and a hybrid between Magnolia x soulangeana ‘Lennei Alba’ and Magnolia x veitchii ‘Peter Veitch’. Magnolia ‘David Clulow’ was selected before 1998 by John Giordano from the hybrids produced by Todd Gresham from 1955 to 1969 at Todd’s home in Santa Cruz, California, United States.
