In spring, Magnolia ‘Billowing Cloud’ produces numerous fragrant white flowers with a pinkish hue at the base. Magnolia ‘Billowing Cloud’ has a rounded habit. Magnolia ‘Billowing Cloud’ is deciduous, not native to New Zealand, and a hybrid between Magnolia x soulangeana ‘Amabilis’ and Magnolia cylindrica. Magnolia ‘Billowing Cloud’ was raised by Vance Hooper at Duncan & Davies Nurseries in New Plymouth, New Zealand.
