Magnolia acuminata ‘Koban Dori’ produces soft-yellow, cup-shaped blooms with six tepals that are typically 5cm to 7.5cm wide. The flowers appear in the spring as the leaves begin to emerge, and Magnolia acuminata ‘Koban Dori’ is an excellent choice for adding color to a mixed garden or brightening up a dull corner. It is an upright, pyramidal grower, adding to its aesthetic appeal. Magnolia acuminata is deciduous and native to Ontario, Canada and the central and eastern United States. ‘Koban Dori’ was introduced in Japan before 1989.
