Macadamia integrifolia x tetraphylla ‘Beaumont’ produces new leaves that are red-maroon in color, and bright-pink flowers that bloom from spring to summer. It begins bearing macadamia nuts at a young age and continues to improve with age. The brown nuts, enclosed in a green husk, are typically borne from summer to autumn. Unlike some other cultivars, this one does not drop its own crop, so the nuts must be picked by hand. Although it is partially self-fertile, planting it with another macadamia cultivar such as Macadamia ‘GT205’ or Macadamia ‘GT207’ can result in better crops. Macadamia integrifolia x tetraphylla ‘Beaumont’ is evergreen, not native to New Zealand, and an Australian selection that was trialled at the John H. Beaumont Agricultural Research Center in Hawaii, United States in the 1930s.
