View stock levels and order form

This is a dwarf selection with a narrow, upright growth habit. The leaves turn a brilliant red and orange in autumn, and it tolerates moist and clay soil conditions. In dry soil, it produces a taproot that helps reinforce it against wind, but in wetter soil, it only grows superficial roots and cannot tolerate much wind. Liquidambar styraciflua is native from central and eastern United States to Central America. Liquidambar styraciflua ‘Little Richard’ is very popular in New Zealand, but is believed to be of Australian origin.
