Leptospermum scoparium ‘Red Damask’

This dense, bushy plant is covered in small, red-green leaves and is a hardy choice for well-drained, sunny positions. The flower buds of Leptospermum scoparium ‘Red Damask’ are a feature over the winter, before bursting into bright, crimson-red, double-blossoms which completely cover the bush over an extended period in the spring. This stunning display of colorful blooms makes Leptospermum scoparium ‘Red Damask’ a beautiful addition to any garden. Leptospermum scoparium is evergreen and native to New Zealand and the states of New South Wales, Tasmania, and Victoria in Australia. ‘Red Damask’ was developed by W. E. Lammerts in California, United States in the early to mid 20th century.
