Leptospermum scoparium is evergreen and native to New Zealand and the states of New South Wales, Tasmania, and Victoria in Australia. Leptospermum scoparium ‘Kiwi’ was developed by Victor Davies of Duncan & Davies Nurseries in New Plymouth, New Zealand and was first listed in their 1956 catalogue.
