Laurus nobilis ‘BayGold’ forms a compact, pyramidal shape and has leathery leaves that are used for flavoring food. The new leaves are golden-yellow and fade to green as they mature. Laurus nobilis ‘BayGold’ is very amenable to pruning and shaping into any form, making it a great choice for those who want to maintain its size and shape. It can also be used to make a dense, aromatic hedge. Laurus nobilis ‘BayGold’ is excellent for coastal gardens. Laurus nobilis is evergreen and native to the Mediterranean region.
