Lagerstroemia indica ‘Yang-Tse’ has a compact, rounded head and smooth, mottled bark. Its lime-green leaves in the spring transition to green in the summer before turning brilliant shades of red, orange, and yellow in the autumn. During the summer, Lagerstroemia indica ‘Yang-Tse’ produces large, cone-shaped panicles of bright pink-red flowers. It is able to withstand moderate winds.
