Lagerstroemia indica ‘Saint Émilion’ features a compact, rounded head and smooth, mottled bark. It has lime-green spring leaves that mature to green in the summer before turning brilliant shades of red, orange, and yellow in the autumn. During the summer, Lagerstroemia indica ‘Saint Émilion’ produces large, cone-shaped panicles of deep-pink to red flowers. It is able to withstand moderate winds. Lagerstroemia indica is deciduous and native to India, Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, the Himalayas, Myanmar, Nepal, Taiwan, and Vietnam.
