Lagerstroemia fauriei ‘Townhouse’ has a compact, rounded head and smooth, mottled bark. It produces lime-green leaves in the spring, which mature to green in the summer before turning brilliant red, orange, and yellow in the autumn. In the summer, Lagerstroemia fauriei ‘Townhouse’ produces large, cone-shaped panicles of pure-white flowers. It can handle moderate winds and has beautiful red-brown bark. Lagerstroemia fauriei is deciduous and native to Japan. Lagerstroemia fauriei ‘Townhouse’ arose as a chance seedling at the JC Raulston Arboretum in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States and was selected in the 1980s.
