Golden Rain Tree
Koelreuteria paniculata has an open, spreading form and is adorned with pinnate leaves. The leaves emerge as soft-pink in spring, mature to green, and turn yellow in autumn. In early summer, Koelreuteria paniculata produces panicles of golden-yellow flowers which are followed by dangling, rose-red, papery capsules. It thrives in regions with hot summers and cold winters and is an excellent choice as a street tree. Koelreuteria paniculata is deciduous and native to China and Korea.
